Privacy Policy

This page explains what personal information TreeHaven Studios collects through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

We collect what you give us and what is needed to sell and ship:

  • Account and checkout details — your name, email address, phone, and delivery address.
  • Order history — what you bought, how you paid, and delivery status.
  • Newsletter preferences — your email address and which topics you subscribe to.
  • Technical data — session cookies, IP address, and security checks used to keep the site working, stop spam, and protect orders.

Why we use it

  • To process and deliver your orders, arrange courier labels, and send order confirmations.
  • To provide the newsletters and updates you sign up for (with your consent), and honour your choices.
  • To keep your account, our site, and payment details secure.
  • To meet our legal and tax obligations — sale records are kept as New Zealand tax law requires.

Who we share it with

We only share data with trusted providers who help us run the store:

  • Stripe — processes card payments. We never see or store your full card number.
  • NZ Post — courier delivery needs your name and delivery address.
  • Resend — sends our transaction and newsletter emails.
  • Cloudflare — hosts and secures the site (including Turnstile bot checks).

We do not sell your information to anyone, and we do not use advertising trackers or share data for marketing profiling.

How long we keep it

Account and order records stay for as long as your account exists (or tax law requires — sale records are kept for seven years). Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe; after that we stop contacting you. You can request deletion at any time and we will delete what we no longer need to keep by law.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email developer@treehaven.nz and we will respond promptly.

Children

Anyone under 16 needs a parent or guardian's consent to create an account or place an order.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page and note the new date at the top.
